Pastoral Letter – Life is a Journey

Pastoral Letter – Life is a Journey

“Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon”

John 4:6

Life is a journey of self-discovery where individuals are constantly trying to come to terms with who they are as a person. Through this journey, individuals can find their calling or vocation in life, discover their potential, know themselves, and even just make sense of life. Everyone’s journey in life is different so to speak; we each pick different paths based on decisions that we make.

The journey through life is filled with wonder, challenges, broken hearts, extreme highs and lows, celebrations, special moments and memories that define our experience as a human. It is these events, planned or unexpected, that impact our travels and define our purpose.

I love travelling. It gives me a chance to explore new places, meet different people, and learn about various cultures. Travelling is a hobby that enriches my life. Travelling brings joy, knowledge, and a sense of adventure. Travelling is a part of our life; most of us use public transport to commute to either work or school.

To view life as a journey is a powerful image that can help us to appreciate what to expect along the way on our spiritual journey. A Prayer

Create in me a clean heart, God, and help me to have the
faith and courage to overcome any fears. Lord, there is
so much uncertainty in life, but I trust that you will guide
me and sustain me.

Please give me the courage to be the person, friend and
loved one You created me to be.

In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
