On 1st February, people from across the circuit gathered for ‘Love Rules’, a ‘Messy Church’ style event. It was great to see families attending a circuit service and much fun was had by all.
People had the opportunity to complete a number of different activities such as marbling polystyrene hearts, making an exploding volcano and dropping hearts into water whilst considering questions such as “What difference would God’s love make to the people and places in the news today?” and “How did Jesus show His love to those around Him?” After the activities, we gathered to hear the story of Mary and Martha, to sing and to pray together, before sharing refreshments at the end.
We were also pleased to formally welcome Caroline Pathak to our circuit and were all blessed to hear her testimony.
With the success of this event we hope to do another in the future, but if you are interested in attending other Messy Church events, keep an eye out for news of services taking place at Hounslow and around the circuit!
